Pacific Quest wilderness therapy program is very pleased to welcome Lori Armbruster as Family Services Director. In this role, she will develop and provide a comprehensive range of services that will enhance the Pacific Quest Sustainable Growth experience for each family. Her expertise, creativity and diligence will serve Pacific Quest’s families and referral sources well.
“Lori is a perfect fit for Pacific Quest. She is dedicated and knowledgeable, while also bringing a personal touch to everything she does. As many people already know, she is an expert in customer service, and a great team player,” commented co-founder Suzanne McKinney.
Lori brings over 20 years of experience to her position at Pacific Quest. Lori has served as Executive Director of Consultant Relations, Admissions Director and Director of Alumni and Family Services and Development in several highly regarded therapeutic settings, from residential treatment to wilderness therapy.
Developing educational resources and supportive services for families is Lori’s passion. She understands and embraces the notion that to best serve each child, providing quality service, education and support to the child’s family is essential. From a young age, Lori knew she wanted to work with families largely due to her own personal experience as a teen who attended boarding school. It is her sincere passion for people and her belief that “the magic is in the details”, that drives Lori’s desire to consistently perfect and enhance the services each family receives.
Lori is highly committed to volunteering and presently sits on the Board of STICC (Saving Teens in Crisis Collaborative) where she co-chairs an annual golf event to raise funds for young people who urgently need therapeutic treatment, but whose families cannot afford it.
Lori attended college in northern California where she studied Psychology. She has lived in Sandpoint, Idaho, for the past 25 years. She and her husband Jim have two wonderful children, a 17 year-old daughter, entering her senior year of high school and a 22 year-old son, who attends Boise State University in Idaho. In her spare time, Lori enjoys “dabbling” in art and graphic design. She loves taking trips with her family (especially to sunny places!) and spending time with friends, camping and boating on Lake Pend Oreille.
